Yes, YippieCare/Oh Wow Care is a third party policy where the Payor, being
the third party, must be the parent or legal guardian of the proposed insured (child)
and also is the proposer cum owner of the policy.
- Does the sum assured for medical requirements include
the level term sum assured?
Yes, it has to be included to determine the type of medical check-up required for the
proposer.
- At what stage of pregnancy do you consider
covering a pregnant woman?
We consider covering a pregnant woman provided the pregnancy does not exceed 8 months. The case may be
considered at standard rate subject to a satisfactory medical examination report.
- Would you consider covering a Down Syndrome child?
No. Such risks are rather unpredictable and might give rise to probable moral hazard
and anti-selection.
- Can a blind person be considered for coverage?
Yes provided the blind person has been fully rehabilitated to suitable employment and
has adjusted satisfactorily to their disability.
- What is the occupational loading?
Occupational loading is an extra premium charged on top of normal premium to cover excess
risks arising from the proposer's occupation.
